I'm a bit worried about the handlebars on his helmet. Useful for catching hits instead of deflecting them, and also for grabbing to control the head.

This is why horned helmets never existed (the few that did were at best strictly ceremonial, and probably more of a joke gift for noblemen who had plenty of functional helmets already).

Someone going to a siege or battle in this would willingly put themselves at a severe life-threatening disadvantage, and will most likely end up with a broken neck due to a helmet that does the exact opposite of what helmets are meant to do. Slinging rocks and other various objects is always an effective and common practice in battles and sieges, and you want your helmet to protect your head from everything by deflecting impacts to minimize the risk of instant death due to a shattered atlas vertebra (the most common cause of death on medieval battlefields).
